There is a saying that goes, “it’s always darkest before the dawn.”
There is truth in that.
It’s like our desperation is the catalyst for the biggest changes in our lives.
When we feel that we have nothing left to lose, we are finally ready to risk letting it all go.
When we finally realize that living in our own truth means the difference between life and death, we finally–finally–allow ourselves to live that truth.
Do you know the sign of a life well lived?
It’s, after nearly a hundred years, letting your light go out while tucked safely in your warm bed.
Do you know the sign of not living your life’s purpose?
Chronic illness, fatigue, anxiety, depression, terminal illness, and dying young.
I’m not saying it’s going to be easy.
Breaking out of the mold of who you once were to become who you could be is something you have to fight for.
But there is no better prize than being your authentic self.
So, take heart. Those of us who have passed through know…
It is darkest before the dawn.
But if you don’t give up and don’t give in-if you refuse to surrender to the ease of complacency- the sun rises and miracles happen.
